Tax Sharing Revenue Agreement

The City of San Dimas entered into a promissory note with Costco Wholesale Corporation on June 15, 2007, for use of the Costco Centers parking lot as public space. The promissory payments are calculated based on sales taxes remitted to the City from Costco Wholesale and the accompanying businesses within the shopping center at a rate of 50% of sales taxes remitted less $50,000.

The agreement is set to be completed at the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year.

As of June 30,2024, the City has received $18,260,370 and remitted to Costco $7,728,930 of sales tax revenue as payment towards the note receivable.

The payments are part of an enforceable obligation of the Former Redevelopment Agency which is remitted to the City through the County of Los Angeles on a semiannual basis.
