Election Information

In 2021, the San Dimas City Council elections transitioned from at-large voting to district-based voting. The City has divided into four districts and only the voters in a district decide who will represent that district. Voters will elect Councilmembers to represent their Districts. Voters will also elect a Mayor who will be elected at-large. Currently, Councilmembers receive a salary of $12,648.00 annually. The Mayor receives a salary of $15,648.00 annually.

June 2, 2026 General Municipal Election

The City appointed Emmett G. Badar to the Office of Mayor for a Full Term of Two Years, Eric Nakano to the Office of Councilmember, District 2, for a Full Term of Four Years, And Ryan A. Vienna to the Office of Councilmember, District 4, for a Full Term of Four Years, in Lieu of an Election, and Cancelling the June 2, 2026 General Municipal Election Contest for the Offices of Mayor and Councilmembers Districts 2 and 4, Pursuant to Elections Code Section 10229
