How to Participate in City Council Meetings
The current schedule, including known meeting cancellations, can be viewed on the City Calendar.
To receive notifications when City Council Agendas are available subscribe to City Council Agenda Alerts.
In Person: Upon arrival, please locate and complete a speaker card. Provide the speaker card to the City Clerk and take a seat in the audience area. Your name will be called when it is your turn to speak.
How to Sign-On Remotely (computer or mobile device)
Click the Zoom link on the posted agenda or type in the zoom
link address for this meeting
- Wait for host to admit you
- You are now in the meeting
On browser type Zoom.us and join the meeting
- Enter the webinar ID and join
- Enter the meeting passcode and join meeting
- Wait for host to admit you
- You are now in the meeting
Participation Instruction for Public Comment Period
For Computer and Mobile Device
- Mayor calls for public comment.
- Ready for Zoom Participants
- Click hand raise feature to speak.
- When you are called to speak – you will be promoted to panelist by host
- Click Join as Panelist
- Your microphone and camera must be on at all times.
- Click on the mic to unmute yourself. The timer will then be set.

To Sign-In By Phone:
- Dial the number posted on the agenda
- Enter Meeting ID followed by #
- Enter participate ID followed by #
To Participate by Phone:
- Press *9 on your phone to request to speak
- Follow commands on phone to unmute (press *6)
- The timer will then be set.

Written Comments: Comments submitted by email, mail or in person must be received by noon on the day of a regular City Council meeting or Study Session. For special meetings, comments must be received at least three hours prior to the meeting.
Time Allotted for Speaking: Speaker time is subject to change by the Presiding Officer or City Council. Individuals using interpretation services will be allotted twice the time otherwise provided. The time allotted for each speaker is generally 3 minutes, except for public hearing items.
