Since its incorporation in 1960, the unprecedented growth of San Dimas has transformed the City from an essentially rural area to a well-balanced community offering industrial, commercial, and residential living. In addition to the 1,700 acre Frank G. Bonelli Recreational Area which lies within the City boundaries, there are many parks such as San Dimas Canyon Park, a city-owned golf course (San Dimas Canyon Golf Club), and over 27 miles of equestrian trails for riding. The city services include an extensive recreational program for youth and for senior citizens, and the City boasts a new modern City Hall, with excellent provisions made for County Sheriff and Fire Departments, along with a fine Los Angeles County Library and Engineering Regional Office.

Voting
Why vote? If you are not registered to vote, you are missing out on exercising your right to vote. Voting is a great privilege and significant personal freedom; it is the most important tool you have to affect change. You may register to vote online or by completing a registration to vote by mail form. Mail-in forms are available at the San Dimas City Clerk’s Office, Los Angeles County Public Library San Dimas Branch or any United States Post Office. A Vote by Mail (absentee) Ballot allows you to vote without having to go to your vote center. If you should change your mind, you may still vote at your local vote center; take your Vote by Mail Ballot with you and explain to the election worker that you would like to vote in person and surrender the ballot you received in the mail.
You must re-register to vote if you moved, changed your name or wish to change your political party affiliation. It is also a good practice to update your signature periodically with the Registrar Recorder’s Office. The deadline to re-register is 15 days before the next election. Need to register to vote, not sure if you are registered or need other voter information, visit the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder or the Secretary of State.
Vote by MailVoters will have the ability to cast their ballot at a Vote Center or vote the VBM ballot that will automatically be sent to every registered voter in Los Angeles County, via the United States Postal Service. If you would rather vote in person at a Vote Center, you will have to surrender your VBM Ballot at the Vote Center. You may vote at any Vote Center location in Los Angeles County.
How to Return Your Ballot:
-
By mail, remember no postage is necessary
-
Drop off at any Vote Center Location
-
Drop into any Los Angeles County Drop Box (Outside San Dimas Library)
